The roots of
euro italo disco mix music go way back in time to the late 1970’s. In the Italy’s capital Rome a new unique musica blend of sound was emerging, this old synthesizer medley was very closely related to the New York Brooklyn Bronks American Disco groovy funky monkey sounds of Queens Staten Island. The main difference was the Euro Italo disco mixers were more focused on the tightly controlled melody emphasising the catchiness of the retro beat. One of the most useful features of Italo disco mix vinyl is an instrumental version of songs on the B-side, a humongous asset for mixing with dub. This Italian music was years ahead of its time, just listen to the YouTube video for 2:47 to 3:07 mints, if you were to put that sample into a loop on your Roland sp 555 sampler you could reproduce a great instrumental house classic, to frill the crew clubbing on the brimming dance floor with a royal ballet remix of something old and something new as a shiny pin, sounding across the nights packed pulsing floor. There are many influences in the modern day tracks seeded form euro italo disco retro days. If you’re a serious DJ about obtaining your unique style with out going to abstract and weired, the 80's - 70’s disco ABC euro italo vinyl mixers are well worth some investigation. You never know what long lost Italo tracks there are out there, many crowed stunning fancy diamonds you can pull out the hat, to lay down under your Stanton stylus 500 needle.
Some of the vintage synthesizer use in making there records were the Roland JX-8P decent analog polysynth, the Roland Juno 60 /106, Yamaha DX7 how I wanted one of those when I was at school, ARP Odyssey and a Roland TR 808 drum machine still a jumbo component of the acid sound, always playing in the beat of 4/4. Most of the Euro Italo musica never really made a whopping impact on the US or UK disco clubs arenas or entered high up the chart listings mainly because of the biasness way of old-hat thinking of the out of date narrow-minded radio stations.
I love to drop in a couple of these Italian spaghetti specials dance auditions traxs in place, when I am going the discos & djs hire work in the luxury Philippines bars on the coastal beach island resorts.
